Lakers Rumors
Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports – Los Angeles Lakers rumors /

Marc Gasol in Lakers rumors this week? Yes Lakers fans, according to the Bleacher Report, some NBA executives believe the team will move on from Gasol. If Andre Drummond dominates as advertised, the Gasol buyout rumors will get louder. Lake Show Life weighs in on what will happen and if Marc Gasol’s roster spot will be open.

Well it didn’t take long after Andre Drummond being signed for speculation of Marc Gasol’s tenure to be in question did it? According to Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer, reports from sources had Gasol’s time in the purple and gold coming to an end.

"“As much as Marc Gasol’s subpar contributions helped lead Los Angeles to pursue Drummond, Gasol remains under contract. There remains some speculation from rival executives that he could now come to a buyout agreement with the Lakers.”"

Then it didn’t take long for Jovan Buha of The Athletic to dispel that rumor.

"“Gasol is unlikely to be waived by the Lakers,”"

Then Frank Vogel put the discussion to bed after practice Tuesday, via Silver Screen and Roll.

"“He has not talked about that,”  “Marc’s had a difficult run with the health and safety protocols and some other things, and all I can say is that he’s loved here. These guys respect him so much,” “He’s been a true pro in handling this, and we’re going to need all three of our centers throughout this playoff push and championship run.”"

The only thing that Lake Show Life can guarantee is that for the rest of the season barring injury is that Andre Drummond will be the starting center and Marc Gasol is coming off the bench.

Lake Show Life is used to reading between the lines when it comes to dealing with Lakers rumors. Last year, it was all about Kyle Kuzma and where he was going even though the staff knew he wasn’t going anywhere.

If you read the last link, this is the theme of this Lakers rumors article concerning Marc Gasol. Until April 9th when the buyout period ends, Lakers rumors will fly all over the place. Luckily Lake Show Life will do our due diligence to tell what’s reality and what is not.
