1. James Ennis

James Ennis has taken so many trips around the Los Angeles Lakers rumors mill and has been covered here on Lake Show Life so many times that it would be more shocking if he didn’t sign with the Lakers. There was already reported interested in Ennis and his Twitter activity from several weeks ago added fuel to that flame.

Ennis is the best option available for the Los Angeles Lakers as he can contribute on both ends of the floor. While he is not an elite three and D wing, he is a three and D wing by every sense of the word as he provides shooting and a decent perimeter defensive presence.

He is a bit more complex than that, though, as Ennis has some athleticism and bounce and can drive and finish at the rim. He is no LeBron James by any means but he can catch the ball in transition as well on the back of cuts.

Quite frankly, Ennis might be a better member of the rotation than Kent Bazemore, who is currently on the team. At the very least, Ennis gives the team one more option to hit threes and play defense. If someone ahead of him gets cold then it is his time to shine.

The only reason why this move might not have happened yet is his role on the team. Perhaps he is waiting for a bigger role elsewhere to play for his contract as he seems like a perfect fit in LA.
