Los Angeles Lakers great Kobe Bryant has extended some challenges on social media, and the most recent one went to Washington Wizards point guard, John Wall.

Los Angeles Lakers great Kobe Bryant seems to be enjoying retirement. He has taken part in some ventures away from the court, but he has also been involved in some basketball things as well.

As one of the greatest competitors the basketball world has ever seen, there was only so long that Bryant would be away from the game. He has already worked a number of players in workouts, and this summer he has found his name in the news a lot.

Earlier this month his name popped up as one of the most overrated players in NBA history. It set off a heated debate, as many people thought Robin Lundberg was out of his mind thinking Bryant was overrated.

It was also revealed that Bryant was the inspiration for a new pair of basketball shoes. Bryant is an idol for many players, one of them being Kyrie Irving. Earlier in August, Irving revealed a new design for his basketball shoes. He drew inspiration from Byrant, making his own pair of Bruce Lee themed sneakers.

Most recently, Bryant was celebrated on social media. August 23rd was Bryant’s 39th birthday. Many people had well wishes for him, including former teammate Pau Gasol. Gasol took to Twitter to wish Bryant a happy birthday, calling him the GOAT in the process.

The celebration didn’t stop there. August 24th was dubbed Mamba Day, as the date included his two jersey numbers. For Mamba Day, Bryant issued different challenges for different people, such as some athletes and rapper, Kendrick Lamar.

One of the athletes that Bryant issued a challenge to was Milwaukee Bucks small forward, Giannis Antetokounmpo. Bryant challenged the Greek Freak to win MVP of the NBA this season. He was not the only player Bryant challenged, as he also sent a challenge to Washington Wizards point guard, John Wall.

Wizards Talk asked for a challenge to be issued for Wall, and Bryant responded with First Team All-Defense.

Wall is regarded as one of the best defensive point guards in the NBA. When healthy, he is easily in the upper echelon of NBA point guards, as he has a strong argument to be placed within the top-five.

Wall is coming off a career season in 2016-17 and is only getting better. He was named to the All-NBA Third Team last season and has been named to the All-Defense Second Team for the 2014-15 season. Making a jump to the first team would not be surprising, as it is something Wall could definitely attain this upcoming season.
